October 28–November 7: Coastal Carolina Fair – This popular Lowcountry fair is complete with fairground rides, live music, arts and crafts, and animal displays at the Exchange Park Fairgrounds in Ladson. Ticket purchase required.

November 1–6: The Fall Tours – Enjoy a rare glimpse into Charleston’s architecture with piazza and garden tours as well as the new Master Series. November 3: The Second City Remix – Have a night full of laughs with a comedy show at the Charleston Music Hall.

November 4–6: Nuevo Cinema Italiano Film Festival – If you love movies and festivals, this event is perfect for you. Visit Charleston for this unique festival of contemporary Italian films.

November 5–14: Charleston to Charleston Literary Festival – Calling all book lovers! This annual literary festival is organized by the Charleston Library Society in association with the Charleston Farmhouse in England. There will be several different events in many downtown locations featuring contemporary authors from the United States and the United Kingdom to discuss current issues. Ticket purchase required.

November 12–December 31: Holiday Festival of Lights – One of the most popular holiday lights shows in the southeast, the Holiday Festival of Lights starts up this year on November 12 at James Island County Park. Enjoy the array of unique light setups as you walk through the park with hot chocolate and visit the bonfire to make s’mores with your family. Per-vehicle admission fee applies.

November 20: Colonial Trades and Harvest Day – Take a trip back in time with Colonial Trades and Harvest Day at the Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site. November 27: Holy City Farmers Market – One of Charleston’s best events, this popup farmers market at Firefly Distillery is a great place to see the Holy City’s best local vendors.
